Privacy policy

Last updated 1 November 2026. Counterforge is a free hobby project run by one person.

Short version

• No accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies and no analytics scripts.
• The desktop app keeps your Riot API key and settings on your own PC.
• This website only sees the champion pages you open and the Riot IDs you search for.

This website

• What you send us: the champion, role, Riot ID and region you ask for. We forward the Riot ID and region to OP.GG to fetch the player's public profile and match history, then return it to you. Searches are not stored by us beyond a short in-memory cache of a few minutes to hours, used to make the site faster.
• Hosting logs: the site runs on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages, block abuse and apply rate limits. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to that processing.
• On your device: your browser remembers your last searched players and region (local storage). Nothing else is stored, and no cookies are set by us. Clear your site data to remove it.
• Other sites: champion, item and rune images load from Riot's Data Dragon, so Riot's servers see your IP address when images load. Downloads come from GitHub.

Player data

Player profiles and match histories are public League of Legends data supplied by OP.GG, based on Riot Games data. We do not build profiles of players and we do not sell or share any data. If you want a profile removed from OP.GG, contact OP.GG directly.

The desktop app

Your Riot API key, settings and recent searches are saved in the app's own folder on your PC and never uploaded. The app contacts Riot, OP.GG, WhatIsMyMMR.com and GitHub as described in the app's privacy section on the download page. An optional anonymous "people online" counter is off unless you set an address for it.

Children

Counterforge is not meant for children under 13.
